Global Grad Founder John Joseph (center) talking with students

John Joseph's travels have enabled him to live with people from Germany, Guam, Canada, Colombia, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Japan, Poland, and the Czech Republic. He has spoken on the subject of college and career success at top high schools, colleges, civic clubs, churches, Fortune 500 corporations, and other venues.
As an undergraduate student, John served as student body president, earned a 3.95 GPA, and won the nationally competitive Truman Scholarship. He spearheaded efforts to create a campus Habitat for Humanity chapter, was twice named Senator of the Year by his peers, and chaired several appointed committees. John also served on the Chancellor's Task Force on Race Relations and helped draft the University Honor Code.
John attended the University of Mississippi on academic scholarship and received recognition as Outstanding Political Science Major from his professors and Student of the Year from the state legislature. He attended the National Student Leadership Conference before being named to the University Hall of Fame. John is a member of Phi Kappa Phi.
After graduating from college in 2000, John worked at the White House, served as legislative coordinator for a senator, and interned at the Justice Department. He then accepted a fellowship to teach at-risk high school youth at the nationally acclaimed Eagle Rock School and Professional Development Center in Colorado before joining the American Youth Policy Forum in Washington. These experiences enabled John to work with some of the best minds in education.
John then married his wife, Annah, returned to his home state, and pursued his law degree at the University of Alabama, a top-tier law school. He earned his law degree, passed the bar exam, and pursued his interest in real estate at a Fortune 500 company, then a nationwide development firm. John successfully sought assistance from colleagues to start Alabama’s first chapter of ICSC Next Generation, an organization for newcomers to the commercial real estate industry, before leaving to launch Global Grad to help students find meaning, purpose, and success in college and in their careers.
John has a strong desire to live each day fully and wants to help others do the same. He believes this goal is best accomplished by empowering college students with the strategies and support they need to attract world-class opportunities. In so doing, Global Grad will pursue its mission of serving God by helping to shape the most focused, excited, and well-prepared generation of college graduates in history.
